Preparing for surgery
You should inform the doctor of any other medication you are taking, like Coumadin or even Aspirin, as you might be asked to stop taking it.
If you need dental work, it is advisable to have it done before surgery.
This is because dental work can allow bacteria to enter the blood stream and cause infection around the heart.
